Nicholas Yanuzzi,
Air force Officer, age 76, of
Thousand Oaks, passed away on Jan. 10, 2010
with his loving family at his side. Nicholas was
born on Dec. 3, 1933 in Hazleton, PA and has
been a Ventura county resident for the past 32
years.
He most recently retired from the Do It Center in Thousand Oaks
where he worked as a department manager for 23 years. Prior to
that he served his country in the US Air force where he retired
as a highly decorated Major after 22 years of service. He was a
long time member and treasurer of the Military Officers
Association of America.
Nicholas leaves behind his proud and loving wife of 48 years Georgina, as well as their children Frances D'Haenens (Mark) of Palmdale , Gabriella Yanuzzi of Belmont Shore, David Yanuzzi of Belmont Shore and Michael Yanuzzi ( Hye Young) of Singapore. He also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 20 at St. Judes Catholic Church, Westlake Village, with Father Peter presiding. A burial will take place at a later time in Hazleton, PA. Arrangements were made with the assistance of Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, Thousand Oaks.
