OPAL M. RYLAND

Opal M. Ryland, age 70 of Auburn passed away, Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at East Alabama Medical Center. She was born May 28, 1941 in Butler County, AL. Mrs. Ryland had been a resident of Auburn since 2004. She was a member of the Auburn United Methodist Church where she served in the Church Food Pantry for several years and was an active member of the Babe McGhee Sunday School Class. Opal was very family oriented, doted on her husband, and children, but spoiled her grandchildren. Mrs. Ryland is survived by her husband, Keith Ryland of Auburn; son, Gregory A. Ryland (Jeanne) of Auburn; daughter, Nancy M. Mohs (Todd) of Phoenix, AZ; son, Brian K. Ryland (Lori) of Orlando, FL; and grandchildren, Brianne Mohs Fleming, Keri Mohs, West Ryland, Christian Ryland, Grayson Ryland, Raymond Ryland, and Charlesanna Ryland. A memorial service for Mrs. Ryland is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Auburn United Methodist Church with Dr. George Mathison officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. in Hamil Court prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to AUMC Food Pantry.
