Subject: Gene Mutual

Just received a phone call from a friend of Gene. Gene's wife, Roberta, called him to say that Gene had died yesterday (15 Sep), I believe. Initial information is that there will be no calling hours and that interment will be in a cemetery near Ithaca, NY. I'll forward more info as I receive it. Would you forward this to others who may have been friends of Gene. So far there does not seem to be a listing in the local obituaries.

Reggie: Also, just heard that a P-51 has crashed at the Reno Air Races. The pilot was Jimmy Lee Ward according to the news cast. I am sure that you probably knew him. Sorry to hear that he appears to have been a casualty. You'll probably know more about it sooner than the rest of us.
