Hi Jim,
I'm sorry but Jerry did not want an Obit according to his wife Sheila. He passed away on Nov 22nd around 5:30 pm. We were still talking about our days in the 38th/343rd lately. We had more memories from that time than all our years in the airlines. Jerry and I had just talked the day before his passing. He was getting parts for a 48 Ford he was restoring. I could never find the energy he did with the health problems he endured. Hope you and your family are healthy and successful.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for your concern. I do not have the dates for Jerry's USAF exit and start at SWA. He did , however, start at SWA shortly after. He took medical leave due to heart complications at age 58. His passing was due to cardiac embolism.
Jerry loved talking of his and our experiences in the 343rd/38th. We flew two deployments together.(Athens and Okinawa). He had recently finished restoring a 68 GTO and was in the process of restoring a 48 Ford when his heart gave out. He passed on 22 Nov, 2008.
There was a great showing of friends, SWA pilots (ex RC), and church family at the funeral.

Jerry was recently living with his wife Sheila at 1824 Morning Glory, Carrollton, Tx 75007.

 I would like to attend one of the birthday ball's. Jerry and I talked about it a lot but never found the time.
