Subject: update 07 343rd reunion

Hello everyone.
This years reunion of our cold war veterans, from the 343rd, in Lincoln NE, was a bit smaller than expected; however, Do not let the size of the turn-out fool you. It was truly “AWESOME” Paul Dolby, the groups organizer did an excellent job. With people coming from coast to coast, Paul was able to pick a central location and great hotel, with easy access for all, This allowed for this small, but close, “family like” group to get together and remember the “good old days” as well as catch-up and find out how we all are doing today. Pictures were exchanged, stories were told and Memories were shared and some may say that some of the stories were embellished, a bit, but all can remember 50 years ago like they were yesterday! Our reunion also included a guide trip to the SAC Museum, a visit to a Safari, a great banquet meal, Kitchens and Joyce shared some dancing with us, Hall and York told lots of great stories and old Stark even sang! Paul I think that I can say a very loud and clear “Thank You, from all us who were able to attend” Mike C

Pic04-05 This picture was taken on the last day of the reunion in Lincoln NE  The 2 in the picture are (my uncle) Don Jean and John Duncan.
They were just about the last to leave the motel on Saturday morning. Also attached is a picture of the sign in the lobby of the motel.

Pic 6    This crawlway should look like something you crewchiefs of a B-47 would remember... Do you remember the small door to the left (unseen in this picture) but if you opened it, you could crank down the landing gear. I would guess that this crawlway was the same on all models, but I'm not sure... Do you know?

Pic 7 -  This picture was taken on Oct 4th 2007, just outside the main door to the SAC Museum... Don Jean, (myself) Mike Chaput and Billy Millen.
