       I was able to confirm, through Greg Smith, that Ken Parsons did, indeed, serve in the 55 SRW in the mid-1980s.  Though Ken was not a member of the 55 SRW Association, I know that others who knew him would want to know of his passing on 30 June 2007 following an approximate 2-year battle with cancer.  Lt Col (Ret) Ken Parsons will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery on 05 September 2007 at 0900 hours.  Hopefully you and others can help me get the word out.

              I was saddened to learn of Ken's passing too.  Ken served proudly and well in the 55th as the FMS or AMS squadron commander.  He was also a nav in the 1 ACCS.  He and I shared UK basketball through this past season.  I will miss him and am sorry not to be at Arlington.  Thank you for attending and give my best to Linda.
