Subject: Chris McAloon obit

Lt. Col. (Ret) Christopher A. McAloon passed away November 20, 2006,  at age 70. 

Colonel McAloon served a long, successful career in the United States Air Force centered around Cold War periphery reconnaissance conducted along Soviet-bloc country borders, Cuba, and Viet-Nam.

Col. McAloon flew the RB-47 and RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft as a Pilot, Aircraft Commander, and Instructor Pilot.

 In addition to serving as a professional Reconnaissance Combat Crew member, Col. McAloon served in many operational and intelligence staff positions at Squadron, Wing, and major Command levels, including Commander of the 82nd Stratregic Reconnaissance Squadron.

Col. McAloon died while in an Ellsworth, ME. Healthcare facility with his loving wife of 44 years, Margaret, at his side.  He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Renee Lynne.
