Subject: Pat Gatewood Passed Away

The world has lost some of its sunshine and I have lost the love of my life.

After suffering a stroke last Saturday and without regaining consciousness, Pat slipped away peacefully and quietly, Wednesday night, August 9th. I was at her side when she left us.

Per her wishes, there will be no services other than our families private celebration of her life. She will be cremated and, as of now, the decision on her final resting place has not been made. We are considering the "Eternal Reef" program, where her remains will become a part of an artificial reef structure which is placed in the ocean or in the Gulf, where it becomes the source of new life.

For those who might wish to memorialize Pat, I suggest a tax-free donation to The Scholarship Fund, Twin Cities Hospital Auxiliary, 2190 Highway 85 North, Niceville, FL 32578-1045, She loved serving in the Auxiliary. For many years she worked happily and faithfully with the hospital patients, staff and fellow Auxiliary members, until her physical stamina had failed to the point where she could no longer participate.

"Thank you" to all of you for your care and concern. We were prepared for this, after she had suffered three strokes in the past eight years, but we were not ready to let her go. But, we do know that where she has gone became a happier and better place when she arrived.

Sincerely
Jack Gatewood
