Since the August issue of the VFW magazine (with the small reunion notice in it that does not give date and place) hit the mails, I've had about over a dozen inquiries for information. Most of them, not all, are from former enlisted guys who were at Forbes in the 50s and 60s.
Some I've sent a now-canned e-mail, others I've had to use snail mail.
Those with access to the web page look at the reunion sign-up list and do not see names they know. It is also a fact that none of them know of the Association, but many liked the idea. So, when I send them the reunion info, along goes a membership form.
Here is the list of those who have contacted me. Mayhap if they come back to the web site, they will see familiar names:
Roger Elvey
Charles Briesacher
Leonard Ott
Roger Van Erem
Merton Rima
Melvin Childress
T. Knapp
E. Fenton
Joe Buckland
George Ryan
David Wise
Marvin Nelms
Lawrence Roe
Michael Farris (he has signed up for sure, bought a shirt and cap, too)Hope to see more at the reunion and joining the Assn.
