Subject: Taps (Cliff Newman)

Gents

Today I tried to locate Cliff Newman, an old-timer 343 Nav who later worked for me on the Blackbird program at the SAC Recon Center, and to my dismay I sadly found that he and his wife, Judy, had passed away.

Cliff was an early member of the Association and attended some reunions, but for whatever reasons, for the past few years has not been a member.

Didn't know the protocol in listing him in the Taps section, so I forward this and bow to the wisdom of my leaders as to whether or not you wish this listed in our Taps section.

LtCol Harry C Newman ( Cliff ) passed away May 2003 in Palm Bay Fl.Date unknown.

LtCol Newman served as a Navigator in the 343rd Sq in 1953 and later served at the SAC Recon Center working on the SR-71 Program. He then transferred to Beale AFB where he continued to work on the SR-71 program until he retired to Florida..

His wife Judy passed away Feb 24 2005.
