Subject: Honoring those brave flyers
Don :
My name is Chuck Hanna and I reside in Topeka, Ks.I have always had a interest in the 55 SRW. Back in the late fifty's and early 60's I was finishing high school here in Topeka, many of my classmates fathers were stationed at Forbes Air Force Base. I was always fascinated by military flying and to know or having a chance to converse with these older guys ( SAC Warriors) Our neighbor was one of the raven's who was lost in the shoot down of RB-47 and I noticed on your web page that you did not have any photos of the memorial that is here in Topeka honoring those brave flyers. I am enclosing these photos and if your association can use or share them among your comrades, please do. I enlisted in the Marine Corps. and later on in the seventies joined the Kansas Air National Guard and became a KC 135 boom operator. I retired four years ago with a total of 31 years military time and 7500 flying hours in 135. Please let me know if you need any more information.
Regards, Chuck Hanna
