Subject: 55th SRW 2006 reunion
My name is John M. McGee.
I was with the 55th from June 1954 to Sept 1957. First with the A&E squadron as a K-system mechanic, later with the HDQTS squadron in maintenance control under Major Bubert (spelling?). I went on to college and graduated as a Chemical Engr. I spent most of my career with NASA at three different locations.
I saw at least one person I knew was at the 2003 reunion, Robert H. Goss, assuming he was originally from Vermont:. I would like to have his Email address or phone number if possible.
I am interested in attending the 2006 reunion. I will work that through the web site.
By the way, the last flightline job I had at Forbes was a compass swinger. I saw a B47H in the Pima boneyard around 1989. I climbed on top and opened the transit hatch and saw my initials that I scratched on the underside of the hatch when I last swung that airplane. The old Navy buddy with me couldnt believe it. I have many fond memories of my time with SAC. It gave me a great start in life.:
