Carl Vergin
Carl Tore Vergin passed away in his sleep on January 19, 2005.
Carl was born August 25, 1916 in Scotia, New York to Gustav and Helga. During WWII, he originally joined the Army, but after being introduced to foxholes, transferred to the Air Corps where he served as a navigator, flying out of India and in the Pacific. He made a career of the Air Force and after retiring in the early 60's, taught high school math in Reno for a few years. He ended his working days with Lockheed and played golf as much as he could after that.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, stepson, Ed, and the two women in his adult life, his wife Gene and later, his companion, Kate. He is survived by his son, Jim.
