I have visited your very interesting website and thought i might push my luck a little . I am researching material for a book about B-29 / B-50 deployments to England 1947-1953.
The emphasis being on the exercises and training completed by the Units and also the tail codes and squadron markings.
As far as I can tell , the 55th SRW visited England from January to May 1951.
The RB-50B's were then carrying tail code " Square V " and I believe one or two may have had green and yellow striped nose wheel doors.
I wondered if any members might be able to assist me with information about the deployment and photgraphs of the aircraft .
I will of course return any photos on loan to me ,to the rightful owner ,just as soon as I have noted details for my artwork for the book .
