(Stan was a 38SRS pilot in the early-mid 80s...........JImM)

Stan is survived by wife, Karen, and two daughters, Andrea (25) and Katie (21 - one year of college left).

Also surviving Stan is his mother, Frances, as well as 2 brothers and a sister.

I was at the Memorial Mass today...many kind words and glowing remarks said about Stan, as we who knew him would expect. Family seems to be doing well. They knew this was coming as they've known the diagnosis for over a year.

Captain Stanley Szkarlat, age 51, of Burnsville, Minn., died August 5, peacefully at his home after a battle with cancer! .

Szkarlat was hired at NWA in 1986 and is survived by his wife and two daughters.

A Memorial Mass/funeral will be held Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 10 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church, (952-890-9465), 4625 W. 125th St., Savage. Minn. (not 12508 Lynn Avenue).

Visitation for 1 hour prior to Mass at the church.

Pilots are encouraged to wear full uniform. Memorials preferred to Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Forth, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
