The Cold War Victory Medal is within our grasps!!!
For many months the Cold War Veterans Association (CWVA) Leadership has been working "behind the scenes" to garner support for the Cold War Victory Medal on Capitol Hill. We can now report the interim results:
H.R.1815 - The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2006 includes the following provision:
SEC. 565. COLD WAR VICTORY MEDAL [For further discussion, see below]
Having worked diligently behind the scenes to help get this language into this year's Defense Authorization act proposal, the CWVA Leadership now urgently asks ALL OF YOU (and all of your friends, family members, colleagues, other VSO organization contacts, and any other interested persons) to contact (via mail, phone, fax, and email) your Senators and Representatives as soon, and as much as possible
-- IN PARTICULAR, ALL OF THE MEMBERS OF BOTH THE SENATE AND HOUSE ARMED SERVICES COMMITTEES -- to let them know how much you want this portion of the bill to make final passage and to be sent to the President for his signature!!!
