Subject: Consensus on Reunion- BoD 55th SRW Association

Thank you, gentlemen, for your responses on the reunion location. We have unanimous consent to return to Omaha. We now have a target on the horizon with lots of ground to cover 'til we get there. We here at Omaha will stay focused on that horizon. Meanwhile, a solid challenge is waiting out there in the not too distant future. That is the change-out in leadership in key Wing positions that will occur before the next Birthday Ball. A whole new set of players!

Will Hampton and Jay Strickler, the Wing BoD reps, will change out by July.

The Wing CV will retire in or around July. His replacement has been named. The Wing CC is coming up on two years. Sorry, no intel on that one. I am sure that it will be a one star to a two star position movement so, will be short notice. A whole new team will be coming on board.

We have all gone through this process in our careers before. Saying goodbye to the old, and bringing in the new. Your Omaha Caucus has been through this territory before and we will do it again. We will "come on board" with the new Wing leadership, whoever they are, introduce ourselves as to who and what the Association is. We will stay focused on developing a solid relationship with the 55th Wing across the board from saying farewells to the current players, to initial introductions to the new players, and always keeping in the forefront the idea that the relationship of the Association and the 55th Wing will be nothing but a WIN- WIN situation for all.

Our first big chance at stepping forward will be, of course, meeting a new Wg CC(whenever that occurs) followed there after at the "Tales of the Fifty-Fifth" and the Birthday Ball. There will also be other opportunities along the way. Always keeping in mind the target on the horizon as it will be getting closer. The grand finale' - a reunion at Omaha- celebrating the old and the new?a WIN-WIN for all.

This time , now to the Sep 2006 reunion, I see as an important time for the future of the Association. Many opportunities will come during this run up to maximize the relationship that our logo (the two shields) symbolizes. We'll keep in touch.

Videmus Omnia,

Jim
