This highly detailed patch shows an RC-135 in correct colors
over a green map of England and Scotland on a bright yellow disc. The lettering
is red on white. The size of this patch (15.5 cm top to bottom) makes it quite
unlikely that it was ever worn on the flight suits - it was probably done as a
back patch for tour jackets - nevertheless it's a unique and very detailed
patch. The 922nd was designated as a Strategic Squadron while being based at
Hellenikon AB, Greece and was later redesignated as a Reconnaissance Squadron.
The shown patch comes from MSgt Andy Hunold's (GEAF Ret) patch collection
