"Hog Heaven"

Shown is a new style HOG HEAVEN patch for the 82nd Reconnaissance Squadron, Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan with the added "OPS" for OPERATIONS. The original patches for the then 82nd SRS read "SRS" on the patch and there are is even a HOG HEAVEN patch for the 376th SW as well. According to Major Greg Ogletree, the 82nd SRS originated the hog as the mascot for the RC-135 and the term HOG HEAVEN refers to Kadena AB. There are also HOG HENGE for RAF Mildenhall, HOG CROPOLIS for Hellenikon AB, HOG POLE for Eielson AFB and HOG OASIS for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, although I've only ever seen the HOG HENGE patches in existence. Anybody who might have a HOG CROPOLIS or HOG POLE patch for me is kindly asked to contact MSgt Andy Hunold (GEAF, Ret.). Thanks!
