"Combat Sent"

COMBAT SENT SCIENTIFIC TECHNICAL RC-135U - Patch servers a dual purpose, one being the third type of the COMBAT SENT SCIENTIFIC TECHNICAL patch which at the same time being the second style "A" Flight patch for the 343rd SRS, 55th SRW, Offutt AFB. Members of the 343 SRS A Flight are the only ones flying the RC-135U COMBAT SENT" aircraft. This is a much more interesting design and shows a head-on view of the RC-135U superimposed over a white skull. Background information are taken from a feature article, written by now retired Major Greg Ogletree (formerly of 2 ACCS, Offutt) for ASMIC's Trading Post, Spring 1995 issue, pages 33- 54. Greg happily agreed that I could use his article and share the information. The patches shown are out of my own USAF cloth patch collection.
