Combat Sent Type I

"Combat Sent"
"The One That Worksy"

COMBAT SENT - THE ONE THAT WORKSY - appears to be the first patch for the RC-135U COMBAT SENT aircraft. The patches is Far East made (probably during a TDY to Korea) as it looks typical Korean made for the 1970s/1980s time period. To quote Greg Ogletree from his article: "To put it politely, the muppet Miss Piggy is "dancing" with a Russian bear. The RC-135U model is characterized by it's "chubby cheeks" (like the "V" and "W" models) but with a normal nose rather than the "Snoopy" nose featured on the RIVET JOINT aircrafts". Background information are taken from a feature article, written by now retired Major Greg Ogletree (formerly of 2 ACCS, Offutt) for ASMIC's Trading Post, Spring 1995 issue, pages 33- 54. Greg happily agreed that I could use his article and share the information. The patches shown are out of my own USAF cloth patch collection.

Patch information submitted by Andy Hunold, MSgt (GEAF) Ret.
