Flying Outhouse
This patch was worn by the crew of the
Combat Sent aircraft, 3121. Reg Urschler, the aircraft commander, designed the
patch during prodject Combat Lion in Okinawa. The crew members were: Regis
Urschler, Larry King, Lindy Melton, Stan Shackelford, Jim Alspaugh, Rick Thomas,
Dave Johnson and Jack Perrizo. During one renovation of the aircraft a new
toilet was installed in place of the "honey bucket". A commercial "Colt 45". We
were sent anythere, anytime to do any job. The "ISOTS" stands for "In Spite Of
