RIVET JOINT MODERNIZATION
This patch commemorates the
introduction of the Block III Rivet Joint modification. Block I modified
aircraft arrived around 1974 (# 64-4841 - 846 and -848), Block II modification
(one aircraft only) was done in the late 1970s and the first Block III aircraft
was accepted in 1980. The patch is of heavy embroidery, and was obviously made
in the very early 1980s. Patch information again has been taken from Major Greg
Ogletree's ASMIC Trading Post article while the illustrated patch comes out of
MSgt Andreas Hunold's (GEAF Ret) personal cloth patch collection.
