2nd ACCS Looking Glass Target Intel
The illustrated patch is already the second version of the so called "Type I" patch. The first initial patch was created around 1968 during the SAC years when the intel team was made up of two planners and sometimes ones of the was a target intel planner - a more specialized field of intelligence. They did not care for being labelled "just an intel jockey" so they created a patch which probably was the first battlestaff patch worn aboard the LOOKING GLASS. The illustrated version replaced the outdated office symbol of DOOI on the patch and now reads LOOKING GLASS TARGET INTEL. A similar version exists with just the word "INTEL" at the bottom for all those who served in intel but not in target intel. Patch information courtesy of Maj Greg Ogeltree's (USAF, ret.) ASMIC Trading Post article Summer 1994, pages 39 - 49. The patch is courtesy of Andreas Hunold's personal cloth patch collection.
