55th Wing Birthday Ball Lithograph
An original painting commissioned by the 55th Wing in honor of the 21st Birthday Ball
The lithograph is available on advance sales for $45 apiece. It will be a 3-panel lithograph. The two side panels will each contain the pictures of nine of the heroes we are highlighting. The center panel will have 17 different pictures representing the aircraft flown and missions of the 55th throughout its illustrious history. It will come together as a picture focused on an eagle draped with the American Flag. The concept is phenomenal, the initial drawings are outstanding. Each of the heroes will sign the panel next to their picture. In the cases of the three deceased heroes, we have a copy of their signatures and it will be preprinted on the lithographs.(see example)
Since many people prefer to purchase specific lithograph numbers, we will sell specific numbers on a first-come, first served-basis. Numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 38, 45, 55, 82, 97, and 1,000 will not be for sale. Number 55 will be framed and on display the night of the Birthday Ball, then hung in the Wing Hall.

Ms Kim RiegerWe are currently working on framing deals. There are some very good ways to frame these lithographs so you may display your original military artworkat work or home. Everyone purchasing a lithograph will receive recommended framing instructions with their litho.
We are also publishing a tabletop booklet to accompany this lithograph. It will contain each of the heroes pictures and biographies. Anyone who has never seen this kind of art is welcome to come by the 55th Support Group office to see an example on display. History aside, a lithograph of this nature is a valuable investment. Many that sold for as little as $40-$60 new in the ‘80s are worth over $1,000 today.
To enhance advance sales (which are required to support our "Living History" presentation as well as the cost of the project) we are selling the lithographs for $45 up to the night of the Birthday Ball. Lithographs sold at the Birthday Ball will cost $50. Sales after January 23 will be $60.
