Our presidente', Jim Thomas, asked me to convey to the BoD that Col (Ret)
Merlin F. (Steve) Stevens was informed by 55th Wing CC, BrigGen Jonathan
George (who is "pinning on one star" on the Offutt parade ground as I type
this missive), that he (Stevens) is to be inducted into the 55th Wing Hall of
Fame at a ceremony on 31 March and introduced at the Birthday Ball on 1 April.

Hall of Fame Selection 2006
The 55th Wing Hall of Fame Selection Committee convened at 1400, 27 January
2006 in the 55th Wing Commander’s Conference Room.
It was the unanimous decision of the Committee that Colonel Merlin F. (Steve)
Stevens, USAF Retired, be the 2006 inductee into the 55th Wing Hall of Fame.
Pres Thomas subsequently put the selection to the Association Board of
Directors via e-mail, 17 February, to solicit a consensus vote.
The Board was unanimous in its concurrence in responses to the president.
Pres Thomas informed Colonel Jonathan George, the 55th Wing Commander of the
selection at 1330 on 21 February.
