Life Memberships for Memorial Donors

On 13 February 2003 President Bill Ernst put forth a suggestion that persons who donated $1000 be awarded life membership in the Association.

After some discussion on the level of dollar amounts and the merits of the proposal, on 19 Feb 03, Max Moore moved “that any person responsible for donating $500 or more to the 55^th SRW Association Memorial (monument, bricks, benches) from its inception to the conclusion of the funding drive, be awarded a life membership in the 55^th SRW Association without paying any future dues.” Motion was seconded by Michael Cook, same date.

More discussion ensued, and some votes were cast prematurely (but were included in the final tally).

The President called for a vote on 28 February.

The votes recorded were seven in favor and five against.

Motion declared passed 5 March 2003.

(President noted the names of donors eligible for the life memberships in e-mails to the Board of Directors of 5 and 14 March 2003.)
