Subject: Memo For Record on the logo vote

MEMO FOR RECORD REGARDING OFFICIAL 55SRW ASSOCIATION LOGO

After a detailed and prolonged discussion via e-mails regarding the issue of whether the 55th SRW Association ever had approved an official logo representing the organization, it was the general consensus of the Board of Directors that one should be so designated.

On 11 November 2002, President Bill Ernst called for a motion on the subject. That same date, Board member Jim Maloney so moved that: "the 55 SRWA Board vote to adopt the two shield insignia, represented by our membership pin, with the exception that under the 55th Wing shield should appear the motto "Videmus Omnia", to be the official 55th Strat Recon Wing Association insignia and/or logo."

Board member Don Griffin seconded the motion, also on 11 November.

Results of the voting as tabulated and verified by the president and secretary were: nine (9) in favor, two (2) nays, one abstention. One vote was cast before the vote was called for and was ruled as out of order. Therefore the motion is declared carried.
