Personal Statement: Now retired, I ski, play golf, fish, and travel. I live in Bellevue, Nebraska, with the love of my life and best friend, the former Linda Turpin; we have three children and seven grandchildren.
Biography:
Retired from USAF as Colonel on 29 Aug 1984. Oct. 1984 - Oct.1996 Worked with Raytheon E-Systems in new business development and as Senior Technical Representative.
Aug 1978 - Aug 1984 Chief of (RC-135) Reconnaissance Operations, Directorate of Reconnaissance, DCS Operations, Strategic Air Command and flew regularly with the 343rd and 38th SRS.
Jul. 1976 - Aug 1978 Commander 6950 Security Group, RAF Chicksands, UK.
Jul. 1973 - Jul. 1976 Assigned to 55th SRW at Offutt AFB as 343rd Sq. Commander and Dep DO. Flew RC-135C,M,R,T,U,V, and W models.
Dec. 1970 - Jul. 1973 Assigned to 15th AF DOR March AFB and flew T-39's.
Oct. 1969 - Nov. 1970 Command Advisory Function Det 1, Fifth AF Osan AB, Korea and flew T-33 faker missions.
Apr. 1967- Sep. 1969 was assign to 24th SRS at Eielson AFB flying the RC-135D Rivet Brass, RC-135S Rivet Ball, and RC-135E Rivet Amber.
1964 flew first SAC refuelings in support of fighter strikes into Vietnam and Laos.
1961-1967 was assigned to 91st ARS at Lockbourne AFB flyinng KC-97''s and KC-135's. Continued to pull home and reflex alert at Goose Bay and Eielson AFB.
1955-1961 flew KC-97 and T-33 reflexing to Thule, Harmon, Lajes, GooseBay, Torejon, Upper Heyford and Clinton County Airport, Ohio.
Dec 1955 was assigned to 340th Air Refueling Sq. Whiteman AFB
Aug. 1955 Graduated from pilot training at Williams AFB, assigned to Randolph AFB, and cross trained into B-29's.
 Born St. Louis, I grew up in Kirkwood, MO. Graduated from Colorado (A & M) State Univ. and received an Air Force Commission in Jun 1954.
