Personal Statement:

Married my hometown girl friend and the good Lord willing we will celebrate our fifty-fourth anniverary on 12 Mar 1999. We have three daughters and seven grand children. We have been blessed in that after 30, 25 and 23 years of marriage they are still married to their original spouse.

Trivia: My mother and dad pinned my wings on 4 August 1944 and attended my retirement ceremony on 30 September 1974.

Transferred to Blyheville AFB, ARK in . Served as the Director of Logistics of the 42nd Air Division until my retirement.

Mar 72

Transferred to Utapo, Thailand as the DCM of the 307th Bomb Wing. I also became the DCM of the Tanker wing. This then escalated in beoming the first Wing Cmdr of the 340th Consolidated Maintenance Wing and the Director of Logistics for the 17th Composite Division.

Transfered to the 301st Air Refueling Wing’s Vice Wing Cmdr.

Transferred to Ramey AFB, Puerto Rico as the 72nd Bomb Wing DCM

Transferred to the 70th Bomb Wing, Clinton-Sherman AFB, Okla as their DCM . Flew KC-135 Acft.

Assigned to the 380th Bomb Wing at Plattsbrgh, AFB, N.Y. Served as Chief of Base Operations, Chief of Standboard for the C-123 and C-47 acft and flew the KC-135 as an Acft Cmdr. Served as the Senior Controller in the command post until promoted to full colonel at which time I became the Wing DCM.

Transferred to Forbes and assiged to the 55th SRW . Duties include Rb-47 Acft Cmdr, 38th Sqdn Ops Officer, Det Cmdr at Incerlik, Turkey and Wing Director of Safety.

Transferred and attended the completed Bomb-Nav-Rad course.

Transferred to Travis AFB as a Weaponeer and B-29 Acft Cmdr in the 9th Bomb Wg.

Became an Atomic Weaponeer. Assigned to Ellsworth Air Base, at Rapid City, S.D.28th Bomb Wing.

Assigned to Chanute Air Base.Primary duty was military police officer and the chief prison officer. Flew AT-6 (instructor) and B-25 aircraft.

Served in the Philippines and Tokyo, Japan. Served as a military police officer, provost marshal, chief criminal investigation officer and an AT-6 flight instructor. Flew the AT-6, C-45 and C-46.

Sept 44

Went to the Air Corps Central Flying Instructor's School at Randolph and was assigned to Enid. Okla as a BT-13 and AT-6 Instructor.

Received my wings at Foster Field at Victoria, Texas.
